Too bad getting everything for nothing is the utmost priority for every one now days. Thirty years ago I worked at a large company where every manager was able to practice there individual Philosophy of work ethics. It crept into our area less is better, yes I trained three other people by saying don't ask watch me run like crazy and when you can follow me you will have learned. We were totally burned out and stressed out! I had a really fast aftermarket 500 cc endoro motorcycle I used to ride as fast as it could go. I did this to try to get rid of the tension,stress,etc..".YOU ARE WACKED OUT WHEN YOU SAY LESS IS BETTER" I think that is an indirect quote from Stallin

Having being tied up in an unproductive environment I have been able to shut out all things and simply focus on the one thing that is important in my life. I foucs on ensuring completion of the book I am writing. Nothing else really matters

I am a time management coach and consultant specializing in teaching people how to do more with less time. The first thing I teach is about eliminating the clutter, the 80% of tasks that yield only 20% value. The second thing I teach is about dividing their worlds into two parts - things they "have to" do and things they "want to" do. The purpose is to complete what they "have to" do in less time (through efficiency tactics that I have developed) and create spare time for the things they "want to" do. Therefore, they do more of what they "have to" in less time so that they can do more of what they "want to." My concept is that if people only do what they "have to," they merely exist. Only when they do what they "want to" do people really live. I teach people to stop merely existing and start really living.

I saw that a lot. Often enough, the person let go was the only person to know about some irregular but crucial task. Irregular in that they didn't need to ask vacation coverage to do it, but still crucial.
