Discover
- Use the exercises behind the Values/Mission Tab to help you define what is most important to you. Discovering what you really value is necessary to determining your most important goals.
- Examine the roles you fill in life family, career, community to fully identify the kind of person you want to be.
- Develop a Personal Mission Statement to affirm who you are and what you want to accomplish in your lifetime.
Plan
Once you've defined your values, you can set long-range goals for yourself based on those values. Now youa??re on track for achieving your dreams. The information behind the Goals Tab explains a proven process for setting, defining, and reaching your goals.
Act
- Weekly planning: Instead of reacting to things as they happen, take 20 to 30 minutes at the beginning of each week to determine what you want to accomplish in the next 7 days. Review your roles, decide on the most important tasks, schedule your time.
- Daily planning: Spend 5 to 10 minutes each morning checking the day's appointments, making a realistic task list, and prioritizing the tasks.
Weekly and daily planning puts you in control of your time. You act instead of react. You'll finish the week with a much better sense of accomplishment.
