The FranklinCovey Planning System is based on profound principles for achieving balance in your life and on a proven planning process for accomplishing your most important goals. Discover

  1. Use the exercises behind the Values/Mission Tab to help you define what is most important to you. Discovering what you really value is necessary to determining your most important goals.
  2. Examine the roles you fill in life family, career, community to fully identify the kind of person you want to be.
  3. Develop a Personal Mission Statement to affirm who you are and what you want to accomplish in your lifetime.

Plan

Once you've defined your values, you can set long-range goals for yourself based on those values. Now youa??re on track for achieving your dreams. The information behind the Goals Tab explains a proven process for setting, defining, and reaching your goals.

Act

  1. Weekly planning: Instead of reacting to things as they happen, take 20 to 30 minutes at the beginning of each week to determine what you want to accomplish in the next 7 days. Review your roles, decide on the most important tasks, schedule your time.
  2. Daily planning: Spend 5 to 10 minutes each morning checking the day's appointments, making a realistic task list, and prioritizing the tasks.

Weekly and daily planning puts you in control of your time. You act instead of react. You'll finish the week with a much better sense of accomplishment.
