Marianne Phillips General Manager, Western Region
This April marks Marianne's 20th year with FranklinCovey. She first joined the company as the Vice President of Sales for the Western Region through Franklin Quest's acquisition of Time Systems.
When FranklinCovey decided to open regional offices throughout the U.S. eight years ago, Marianne resumed a management and leadership role as the Western Region was formed. She now works with eight client partners, serving more than 1100 companies throughout the Western United States, along with consultants, inside sales associates and the Western Region office staff. Prior to becoming the General Manager of the Region Marianne took a sabbatical from her role as a sales leader in order to be face to face with FranklinCovey's clients in the classroom. Having a passion for enabling greatness in people and organizations everywhere she served as a consultant for three years and views the experience as one of the highlight of her career.
Prior to her tenure with the company Marianne was a residential and commercial Realtor in Arizona, receiving the award of Central Arizona Realtor of the Year in 1988. For 10 years Marianne served on the Board of Education in Payson, Arizona. She also served on educational boards and committees at the State and Federal level. During her tenure on the Board of Education she had the unique honor of testifying before the House of Representatives and the Senate sub-committees on behalf of children's issues. She was also one of four delegates to the American Council of Young Political Leaders conferences to a Nato Study Tour in Norway.
Marianne's educational background is from Biola University, La Mirada, California - in Organizational Leadership.
Marianne lives in San Clemente, California and enjoys the ocean, gardening, reading , and playing with any of her 10 grandchildren. Her recent trip to Rwanda has furthered Marianne's passion to work with and support the women and children of Rwanda and Kenya.
