Coaching and Consulting Experience
Jonathan leverages 14 years of experience coaching professionals who work both nationally and internationally for leading companies such as Amazon, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, and Samsung. These professionals range from Associate Vice President through C-level executives, partner and managing director. Jonathan has coached a breadth of sectors and industries including technology, health care, consulting, investment banking, asset management, private equity, entrepreneurship, energy, real estate and social enterprise. Jonathan has also coached professionals that work with emerging startups in these sectors.
Jonathan earned his MBA from The Wharton School of Business and utilizes this experience to develop the leaders he coaches. His involvement as an investment banker working largely with high growth companies and healthcare mergers and acquisitions has given him a highly sought-after coaching edge. This experience also provided him with cultural competency and its context within the business unit.
Business and Career Background
Jonathan has spent the past 6 years as the Executive Director of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth Career Development Office where he managed the delivery of career services to its MBAs and 10,000 alumni. He spent a total of 14 years at Tuck where he coached, developed and delivered career education, and managed corporate recruiting relationships in a variety of industries and sectors. Prior to joining Tuck, Jonathan spent five years executing transactions as an investment banker with a focus on high growth companies with financial sponsors and sell-side healthcare M&A transactions. Jonathan has also been involved in entrepreneurial endeavors, developing business plans and raising capital for growth companies with Strategic Capital Resources, and as the first employee of Revbox, a Bay Area, venture-backed Internet technology company. He is currently a co-founder and a member of the management team of a student loan provider in India and an equipment leasing company in the Northeast U.S.
Jonathan’s coaching career began through athletics. He was the Assistant Men’s coach for the National Champion Harvard University Squash team. Athletic coaching has influenced his executive coaching approach where he focuses on leveraging the existing strengths of leaders while developing specific action plans to optimize progress through feedback and actionable goals.
Education and Certifications
Jonathan graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s in American History and later completed a dual degree program at the University of Pennsylvania consisting of an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a Master of Arts: Management and International Studies with a Latin America focus through the Lauder Institute.
