John Collins is a senior consultant at Franklin Covey helping people, teams, and organizations make lasting improvements to their performance. Known for his engaging and collaborative style, John has worked with business and governmental clients in the United States and overseas. Prior to beginning his consulting career, he enjoyed an award-winning, 20-year career in forensic science, playing a key role in the investigation of the bombing of the 1996 Olympics. In 2013, following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, John met with Attorney General Eric Holder and a team of experts to explore solutions to gun violence. That same year, he facilitated a national policy summit in Washington, DC on the investigation of sexual violence. John has a master’s degree in organizational management and is formally certified by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
