Rethinking Stress™
Challenge
Up to 75 percent of all time lost in the workplace is stress-related. Balancing relationships, work responsibilities, financial concerns, and emotional issues all contribute to increased stress. The fact is, much of our stress is in response to events we consciously or unconsciously perceive as threatening to our basic needs. The events themselves are not usually the stress inducers—it’s our perception of those events. The challenge in any organization is to view employees as whole people with varied perceptions and coping strategies.
Solution
Now you can support your employees as whole people with FranklinCovey’s Rethinking Stress workshop. Participants specifically learn to help themselves by understanding stress and its debilitating impact. They are then able to address the issues that are causing their own stress and adopt more productive perceptions. They also learn four powerful stress-intervention strategies for becoming more stress resistant and changing how they respond to stress.
About the Course
The FranklinCovey Rethinking Stress program is taught as a one-day, facilitator-led workshop where participants learn: 1) how to identify behaviors and perceptions that aren’t productive; 2) how and why the body responds to stressful situations; 3) why stress is one of the leading causes of physical and emotional disorders in the United States; 4) how to use the FranklinCovey Reality Model to help achieve breakthroughs in managing stress; 5) new ways to resolve stress-induced problems; and 6) six quick ideas for reducing stress.
