Coral Rice, Consultant
Coral Rice is a seasoned professional in strategic planning, leadership development, and executive coaching. She has been helping organizations implement FranklinCovey curriculum for more than 15 years. She is dedicated to the inside-out approach and believes that by helping others improve their quality of life, we improve our own.
She has unique expertise in diagnosing and designing systems and processes to support clients’ strategic goals, especially those related to recruitment, retention, and succession. She also provides direction in the re-design of performance management and compensation systems. In 2007, she co-authored the book, Compensation as a Strategic Asset: the New Paradigm. She has also published a number of articles.
Coral joined FranklinCovey in 1991. In 2000, she co-founded The Growth Partnership, an organization committed to provide marketing and business development, human resources, and training to accounting professionals. She played an integral part in the firm’s growth to a multi-million dollar organization. She continues to consult for that organization.
Coral also served as the Assistant Vice President for Administration at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her responsibilities included new construction and physical plant operations of a 2660-acre, two-million square foot campus. She also served as Director of Human Resources and taught Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management in the School of Business.
Coral has been a noted speaker at a number of national and international conferences. Session titles include: We Have a Great Marketing Plan, So Why Isn’t It Working; Rewarding Employees for Both Character and Competence: An Effective Approach to Pay-for-Performance; and What a New Professional Services Partner Needs to Know About Leadership.
Coral works with a variety of clients representing a number of industries including manufacturing, distribution, banking, accounting, health care, retail, quick service restaurants, and gaming. She has also been successful working with educational institutions and non-profit organizations.
Coral holds an M.S. in education administration from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She earned a B.S. in education from the same university.
Coral lives in Edwardsville, Illinois, with her husband, Dave and their son, Kyle. She enjoys golfing, target shooting, and hanging out with her family and friends.
