Glenda Fontenot, Consultant

As a trained mediator, Glenda has had many unique experiences that contribute to her success as a facilitator. She has mediated cases ranging from neighbors disgruntled over a barking dog to large corporations in dispute over sums of money. She also presented and trained at a mediation conference in Thailand that involved participants from six Asian nations.
Prior to joining FranklinCovey, Glenda was an education lecturer for Baylor-Parkside Hospital in Argyle, Texas. She also served as Education Director for University and International Students at University Baptist Church (Fort Worth Branch, Texas Christian University). Glenda was Associate Director of the Baptist Student Association at Arkansas State University.
For more than a decade, Glenda worked on a North American board focusing on peace and justice. She served a three-year term as president. Glenda attended quarterly board meetings throughout North America and internationally working with many cultures on peace initiatives.
Glenda works with a variety of clients including Fortune 500 and 100 organizations. Her clients represent the medical, insurance, oil and gas, finance, and technology industries. She also works with local, state, and federal governmental agencies as well as branches of the military.
Glenda earned a B.A. in English and French from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She has an MDiv in theology from Southwestern Seminary and a DMin in counseling from Brite Divinity of Texas Christian University.
Glenda was trained as a mediator by Tarrant County Dispute Resolution Services (Fort Worth).
Glenda and her husband, Pat, live in Bellaire, Texas, a suburb of Houston. They play “groupies” to ten nieces and nephews and follow their ball games, music, and theatre performances from Denver to New York. Glenda and Pat enjoy international travel as well as live theatre. They volunteer in a homeless shelter in Houston.
