Les Kaschner, Senior Consultant

Senior Consultant, Les Kaschner, brings a wealth of experience in organizational change to his clients. As a result of his extensive management experience in a variety of industries, he understands the challenges organizations face in today’s competitive environment.

Clients describe Les as a quick study—someone who relates well at all levels throughout an organization. They value his ability to help them get results around their most strategic objectives.

Prior to joining FranklinCovey, Les was Director of Leadership Training and Development with Carlson Companies, a large, privately held company, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work extended throughout the United States and into the United Kingdom and Australia. Les had extensive experience, as a master facilitator, with The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The 4 Roles of Leadership, two of FranklinCovey’s signature courses.

Les was instrumental in helping Carlson Marketing Group, a Division of Carlson Companies implement ISO 9000 standards in the United States and in the United Kingdom. He also helped Carlson Companies implement training for Six Sigma.

Les’s 25 years experience includes training, quality, sales, and operations. He was Director of training and Development, Florida Power Corporation; Quality Director, Northwest Airlines; Director of Lifetime University, Lifetime Fitness; and Director of Sales, Sherry Griffin Real Estate. Les was an examiner for the Minnesota Council for Quality. He has also been an adjunct professor in the M.B.A. program at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, where he taught organization theory and behavior.

Les has earned an M.S in counseling as well as a B.S. in radio and television from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. He was a recipient of the Carlson Company’s most distinguished honor, the Curtie Award, presented to its most outstanding achievers.

Les lives in Chicago, Illinois with his wife, Jan. They have two grown children. He enjoys theatre and activities that keep him fit. He has completed a number of marathons.
