Tim Schofield, Consultant

Tim Schofield’s career as a commissioned officer in the military, as well as his extensive experience in manufacturing, prepared him to help clients find solutions that result in long-term change. Tim is passionate about teaching principles of effectiveness to individuals and organizations.

Tim joined FranklinCovey in 2000. Clients value his ability to connect quickly with participants. His engaging style allows people to laugh at themselves while they evaluate their effectiveness—what’s working and what can improve.

Prior to his work with FranklinCovey, Tim was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army where he served as an infantry platoon leader in Korea and later as a helicopter pilot in Germany.

He spent twelve years with Honda of America Manufacturing in Marysville, Ohio. His experience included materials management as well as extensive experience with manufacturing systems.

At Honda, as a certified facilitator, Tim also provided training in FranklinCovey courses. His work as a client facilitator provided him with real-world experience in applying the principles he taught in the work place environment.

Tim’s clients represent a number of industries including automotive manufacturing, technology, information processing, retail grocer, food distribution, health care, and health care benefits provider. Tim has also successfully provided training for the U.S. Army as well as for state governmental agencies. He has provided training to religious organizations.

Tim earned an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island. He received a B.S. from Kent State University in wildlife and land use management. Tim is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

Tim lives in Springboro, Ohio, with his wife Kira. His hobbies include, hiking and camping, and reading. He also donates his time in community service to a group that specializes in strengthening marriages and providing tools to blended families.
