Mark Horney

FranklinCovey Executive Coach

Coaching and Consulting Experience

Mark has over 15 years of experience coaching senior executives and emerging leaders in large organizations spanning many industries. His unique background enables him to integrate his experience and training in business, psychology, career development and organizational development to help clients maximize their leadership impact. He focuses on understanding the culture of the organization and particular dynamics of the business/industry in which the leader is working to create better outcomes for the coaching candidate and the organization. This “panoramic” approach to coaching is one of the philosophical foundations of Robert Gregory Partners.

Mark has experience working with an extensive variety of job positions, functional areas and industries. Specifically, he has coached executives possessing the job titles of chief executive officer, president, chief financial officer, chief marketing officer, senior vice president, vice president and director. Functional areas include executive management roles in finance, information technology, marketing, human resources, operations and sales. His industry experience includes work with executives in investment banking, investment management, management consulting, media, insurance, health care, and technology firms.

Business and Organizational Leadership

Mark has served as the assistant dean for career management at Columbia Business School. Within his role at Columbia, he has managed executive learning programs and led the team that provides coaching and professional development training to Columbia Business School’s Executive MBA programs. Mark has also managed his own executive coaching and psychology practices. He sits on the alumni board of the Columbia Coaching Certification Program and has served as an executive committee member of the MBA Career Services for Working Professionals Alliance.
