K. Scott Kimerer
K. Scott Kimerer is excited to join Franklin Covey to pay forward the experience of a 38-year career in law enforcement.
He spent much of his tenure in leadership and command for the King County (WA) Sheriff’s Office. In 2003, he was selected as the Police Chief for Burien (WA) and served for 14 years. Among his professional accomplishments, Scott participated as a subject matter expert for the National Academies of Science Transportation Research Board, served as a law enforcement representative for a State Department exchange in Russia, and served as Chairman of the King County Police Chief Association. During his career, Chief Kimerer has been recognized for his skill and expertise in leadership, ethics, organizational change and effective communication. He is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy, Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar and Command College.
