Coaching and Consulting Experience


With over 25 years of executive experience in Fortune 250 companies, Deb has built unique depth in leading, coaching and mentoring leaders for top performance and communications effectiveness, through issues and crisis, and challenges and opportunities. Currently, Deb focuses on executive coaching related to leadership and organizational dynamics. She takes a hands-on, pragmatic approach, focusing on measurable results and achieving the desired change with clients, utilizing a variety of assessments to help leaders understand themselves better. She coaches from the Director to C-Suite level and uses her expertise not only to develop executives in their leadership approach and style, but also to improve team effectiveness and employee engagement.

 

Business and Organizational Leadership Experience


Deb’s corporate leadership roles include the healthcare, retail and restaurant industries. Most recently, she was the SVP of Global Corporate Communications for Cardinal Health, a Fortune 15, Most Admired, $120 billion global product and services company. A collaborative and trusted team builder, she led the company’s reputation, crisis management and employee engagement communications. Major initiatives included global acquisitions, a corporate brand relaunch, and thought leadership programs. She worked closely with Human Resources on employee engagement and talent development issues and served on corporate committees including the Steering Committee for the Women’s Initiative Network and the business advisory team for Leadership Development.

 

Previously, Deb provided executive communications leadership, including investor relations, at Limited Brands and Wendy’s. She also served as Senior Managing Director at Dix & Eaton, a communications consulting firm. She has influenced the futures of companies at pivotal points in their life cycles, navigating through a vast array of changes, including IPOs, acquisitions and downsizings. Her investor relations responsibilities required both an understanding of finance and operations and the ability to connect with and gain the trust of a wide variety of constituencies. She has used her insight and broad business experience to enable and accelerate a company’s strategic goals through the use of innovative communications.

 

Education and Certifications


Deb received a BS in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) and an MBA from Ohio University and has attended executive education courses at Wharton and Columbia. She holds several certifications, including the Birkman Method, the Hogan Assessment and Retirement Options Coach.
