Coaching and Consulting Experience
Kim has over 25 years of experience in consulting with global enterprises to design and deliver leadership development and coaching. She possesses a well-crafted coaching approach that accelerates the growth and impact of emerging, mid-level and senior executive leaders worldwide. She works with her clients to strengthen and integrate emotional intelligence into their professional lives to maximize their impact as leaders. Kim also partners with clients to understand their development opportunities and strengths before acting towards their coaching goals. Most recently, Kim has coached individuals and teams in the energy, chemicals, software, insurance, aerospace, and manufacturing industries. She has also worked with clients around the world to lead successfully amid diversity including cultural differences and the impact of these factors on leadership communication, styles and approach.
Business and Career Background
Prior to independent coaching and consulting, Kim held progressive leadership roles in the global and private banking business, honing her skills in risk assessment, lending and managing domestic operations for clients with both privately held and large public companies. This experience provided Kim insight and strong business acumen when partnering with leaders of any level, from executives to entrepreneurs, and their teams. Kim was also a Senior Consultant for Korn Ferry Futurestep, where she delivered proprietary leadership assessments and recruiting services for companies based in the Southwest. Following this she joined the HayGroup where she provided market pricing and compensation plans as well as various proprietary assessments and leadership development programs for global clients.
Kim established her own company in 2001 and delivered compensation and performance programs for global, private and public sector organizations. Through an experienced network of experts in compensation, benefits and talent development, Kim’s team delivered pay and performance studies for global organizations across many industries including petrochemical, drilling, distribution, retail, pharmaceutical and government. In 2011, she transitioned the business to an exclusive, executive coaching and leadership development practice.
Education and Certifications
Kim holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Ag Economics from Texas A&M University. She’s President Elect of the Houston Chapter of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and an ICF certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She holds several certifications, including The Birkman MethodTM, Emotional Styles and Climate Inventory (ESCI by HayGroup), and Systems Dynamics in Organizations (SDOI from The Bert Hellinger Institute in The Netherlands). In addition, she is a member of the Conscious Capitalism initiative in Houston.
